The Armatura Ecosystem

From the door controller to the credential in someone's pocket, Armatura is built as one connected access control platform — not a collection of standalone parts.

Three Technologies, One Platform

Armatura's core technology stack, straight from the source.

Touchless Palm Recognition

Armatura uses the newest generation of palm recognition technology, verifying images of the palm and palm print. A palm image is captured simply by holding a hand in front of the camera — no contact, no card, no PIN.

Face Recognition

Highly efficient deep learning and computer vision algorithms enable secure, flexible, and dependable face recognition. Users no longer need to stand steadily in front of the camera — recognition happens automatically as they pass through.

Mobile Credential Technology

With BLE, NFC, and QR Code support, users carry their access rights on their smartphone instead of an RFID card — working across Armatura's own devices and select third-party access control hardware.

Mobile Credential Solution

The Armatura Mobile Credential Solution turns smartphones, smart watches, and tablets into access credentials — no physical card required. Three modes let you choose the best fit for each door.

1

Card Mode

The phone behaves like a standard access card, tapped against the reader for fast, familiar access.

2

Remote Mode

Access is triggered remotely from the app — useful for visitor management or unlocking a door without being right next to the reader.

3

QR Code Mode

A generated QR code is scanned at the reader — handy for temporary or one-time visitor credentials issued without provisioning a card.

Why Specify Armatura

A complete, scalable access control ecosystem rather than a single product.

One Platform, Every Door

Master and sub-door controllers, elevator control, and readers all run on the same software platform — no mixing vendors or learning multiple systems.

Card-Free Where It Counts

Palm recognition, face recognition, and mobile credentials reduce reliance on physical cards — fewer lost cards, fewer reissue calls for the end client.

Scales From Single Door to Enterprise

Door software licences scale from 15 to 500 doors, with mobile credential tiers from under 100 to over 1,000 users — quote exactly what the site needs.

Plays Well With Existing VMS

Licensed integration with Milestone, Arteco, Digifort, and C2P means Armatura can slot into a site that already has a VMS in place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from installers about the Armatura range.

Do Armatura readers work with existing RFID cards on site? ⌄
The Explorer Series readers and OmniAC biometric terminals are available in both 13.56MHz and 125kHz variants, covering the two most common RFID credential formats used on existing sites.
Can mobile credentials and physical cards be used at the same door? ⌄
Yes — Armatura's reader and controller platform supports RFID cards, PIN codes, biometrics, and mobile credentials concurrently, so a transition to mobile access doesn't require removing existing card-based access.
How is the door software licence sized for a job? ⌄
Door software licences are sold in fixed tiers — 15, 25, 50, 100, 200, 300, or 500 doors — so installers should size the licence to the total number of controlled doors across the site, with room to grow into the next tier if expansion is likely.
Does Armatura integrate with elevators? ⌄
Yes. The EC10 (10 levels) and EX16 (16 levels) elevator controllers handle floor-level access control, supported by dedicated Elevator Control Panel and Elevator Integration / DCS Integration licences for larger or destination-control-system buildings.
What if the site already runs Milestone, Arteco, Digifort, or C2P? ⌄
Armatura offers dedicated VMS integration licences for each of these platforms, allowing access control events and credentials to be managed alongside existing video surveillance rather than as a separate system.
