4K/8MP Panoramic IP Camera: One Camera, 180° of Full-Colour Coverage

Two 4MP Colour247 lenses, stitched on-board into a single 5120x1440 panoramic image — covering what would otherwise take two separate cameras, with full-colour night vision, AI human & vehicle classification, and built-in active deterrence.

One Image, the Whole Scene

Most cameras force a choice: a wide lens that sees everything but lacks detail, or a narrow lens with good detail but a limited field of view. The CMIP3C8PW-SDL sidesteps that trade-off by mounting two 4MP Colour247 lenses side by side in one turret housing, each covering roughly half the scene, then stitching both feeds together on-board into a single seamless 180° panoramic image.

The result is one continuous 5120 x 1440 image presenting everything the camera covers — instead of juggling two separate camera feeds, two separate recordings and two separate fields of view, you get one image, one channel, one recording.

How the 180° Image is Built

Each lens is a full Colour247 imaging channel in its own right — F1.0 aperture, a 1/1.8″ progressive scan sensor, and a smart white-light illuminator — before the two feeds are combined.

Two Full Colour247 Channels

Each of the two 4mm lenses is its own F1.0, 0.0005 lux Colour247 imaging channel — full colour, day or night, before stitching ever happens.

2

On-Board Panoramic Stitch

The two overlapping feeds are combined in-camera into one 5120x1440 frame, angled to give a combined 180° (±10°) horizontal field of view and 44° vertical.

3

One Stream to Record

Your NVR only sees one video channel for the whole 180° scene — simpler licensing, simpler camera count, and one timeline to review instead of two.

Three Technologies in One Camera

The CMIP3C8PW-SDL doesn't just stitch two lenses together — it carries three of LTS's signature Platinum technologies at once.

Colour247

F1.0 aperture and a smart white-light illuminator keep the full 180° image in colour around the clock, with 0.0005 lux low-light performance and a 40m supplement light range. Learn more about Colour247.

Active Guard Deterrence

Built-in white strobe light and audible alarm trigger automatically on a detected intrusion or line-crossing event — warning intruders off before they reach the asset. Learn more about Active Guard.

AI Human & Vehicle Classification

Deep-learning analytics classify human and vehicle targets across the full panoramic frame, filtering out false alarms from wind, animals and shadows. Learn more about AI classification.

How Far Can It See?

Published DORI (Detect / Observe / Recognise / Identify) figures for the 4mm dual-lens configuration, per EN 62676-4:2015.

77m
Detect
30m
Observe
15m
Recognise
7m
Identify

These are wide-angle panoramic figures, not telephoto — the camera trades reach for coverage, which is the point: one panoramic unit replacing two narrower cameras over the same area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a PTZ camera, or is the panorama fixed?+
It's a fixed panoramic camera, not a motorised PTZ. The two lenses are fixed at 4mm and the 180° field of view is set by the housing's mounting angle (adjustable pan -30° to 30°, tilt -75° to 75° during install). There's no motorised zoom or continuous pan.
Does the camera use one NVR channel or two?+
One. The two lenses' feeds are stitched together on-board into a single 5120x1440 video stream, so it presents to your NVR/NVMS as one camera and one recording channel, despite covering the area of two narrower cameras.
Can I see the active deterrence (strobe and alarm) work automatically?+
Yes — the white strobe light and audible alarm can be linked to the camera's smart events (line crossing, intrusion, region entrance/exit) so they trigger automatically when a human or vehicle target is detected, without needing an operator watching live.
Is the panoramic image distorted like a fisheye lens?+
No. Unlike a single fisheye lens, this camera uses two flat 4mm lenses stitched together, which avoids the curved/bowed distortion typical of fisheye panoramic cameras across most of the frame.
How far away can it identify a person or vehicle?+
Per the published DORI figures: Detect at 77m, Observe at 30m, Recognise at 15m, and Identify at 7m. These are wide-coverage figures rather than telephoto reach — this camera is built to cover a broad area in one frame rather than zoom in on distant detail.

One camera. One channel. The whole 180° scene, in full colour.
