Build the real load on your rack โ NVR, drives, and any PoE switches โ and see exactly how long each PSS UPS will hold it up. Runtime curves are pulled from PSS's own published Eco Series data, not a generic formula.
!Planning estimate only. Runtime figures for the PSS Eco Series (600 / 1000 / 1400L / 2200L) are interpolated directly from PSS Distributors' published runtime tables; the 800L figure is scaled from that data by battery capacity and marked as such. APC models are shown for reference only โ request their runtime curve from PSS before quoting. NVR, hard drive, and PoE switch wattages โ including the WD Pro-series figures, which run higher than standard WD Purple/Red Plus drives โ are typical figures for planning purposes; always confirm against the exact model's datasheet, especially for loads close to a UPS's rated capacity.
01 NVR
Pick the closest match, then adjust the wattage if you have the exact figure from the datasheet.
Fixed IP cameras with IR typically run 5โ12W; PTZs and active-deterrence units run higher.
02 Hard Drives (WD)
Add one row per drive capacity installed in the NVR. Power draw is typical WD surveillance-class (Purple / Red Plus) figures.
03 External PoE Switches
Only needed if the NVR itself has no PoE, or you're powering extra cameras from a standalone switch. Add one row per switch.
LTS / PSS UPS Runtime Calculator โ built for LTS Security Australia installers, using PSS Distributors' published Eco Series runtime data. Figures are engineering estimates for planning; always confirm exact wattages before ordering hardware.
