The Ajax MultiTransmitter is a radio integration module that bridges the gap between legacy wired security equipment and the Ajax wireless ecosystem. Finished in white, it provides 18 individually configurable wired zones, allowing third-party detectors, sensors and devices to be connected and then reported back to an Ajax hub over an encrypted Jeweller radio link. This makes it possible to keep existing wired sensors in service while upgrading the rest of the site to Ajax wireless technology, rather than ripping out and replacing functioning cabling and detectors.

MultiTransmitter is best suited to sites where a working wired alarm installation already exists, or where radio signals struggle to penetrate certain rooms or building materials. Instead of discarding functional wired PIRs, door contacts, glass-break detectors, gas sensors, thermostats or keypads, installers can wire them into MultiTransmitter and fold them straight into a modern Ajax security and automation system, complete with app control, real-time notifications and scenario-based automation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does MultiTransmitter work with any Ajax hub?
It needs a compatible hub such as Hub Plus, Hub 2, Hub 2 Plus or Superior Hub Hybrid running a sufficiently recent OS Malevich firmware version to unlock the full range of zone types, including 2EOL and 3EOL.

How many devices can be connected?
Up to 18 wired zones are available, and more than one detector can share a zone depending on the current draw of the connected devices.

What happens if mains power fails?
The module automatically switches to its 12 V backup battery, which can keep the module and connected detectors operating for up to four days.
