Palm vein biometrics read the unique vein pattern beneath the skin, so they are extremely hard to spoof and work regardless of masks, glasses or lighting — giving sites a fast, hygienic and highly secure way to enter alongside face, card and mobile credentials.

How is palm vein different from a fingerprint?
Palm vein reads the vein pattern under the skin using near-infrared light. It is contactless and very difficult to copy, unlike surface fingerprints.

Do I still need a separate card reader?
No. The E16P includes a 13.56 MHz MIFARE reader, and supports face, palm vein and mobile credentials in one unit.
