The Ajax LifeQuality Lite Jeweller is a wireless temperature and humidity monitor for the Ajax security system. It reports readings to the Ajax app at least once a minute, keeps up to two years of history as charts, and can trigger automation when conditions go outside the range you set. It is ideal for server rooms, cold rooms, wine cellars, pharmacies, nurseries, storerooms and any space where temperature or humidity needs watching. Wireless temperature and humidity monitoring in the Ajax app

The LifeQuality Lite measures temperature from −30 °C to +50 °C with accuracy of ±0.2 °C across the normal room range. It measures relative humidity from 0 to 100% with ±1.8% accuracy. Live values and history charts sit in the same Ajax app used for the alarm system, so there's no separate platform, gateway or subscription to manage.

Automate heating, cooling and ventilation

Use temperature and humidity readings to trigger Ajax scenarios. For example, a relay can switch on a dehumidifier, exhaust fan or heater when levels cross a threshold, then switch it off once conditions return to normal. It's a simple way to protect stock, equipment and building fabric without a separate building-management system.

Know at a glance with the LED indicator

The front LED lights up when conditions change critically. Green means levels are acceptable and yellow means they are outside the acceptable range. Touch the front panel button at any time to check the status on the spot.

No data lost during dropouts

If the monitor loses connection with the hub or range extender, it stores up to 3 days of readings in its backup memory. Once communication is restored, it uploads everything to the Ajax app, so the charts have no gaps.

Secure Jeweller and Wings wireless technology

The LifeQuality Lite uses Ajax's encrypted Jeweller protocol for events and the Wings protocol for larger data packets. Both use frequency hopping to resist jamming and reach up to 1,700 m from the hub in open space. A built-in accelerometer raises an alert if the device is removed from the wall or moved off a shelf. The hub also detects communication loss within 36 seconds.

Wall mount or freestanding, up to 5 years battery life

Install it on a wall with the included SmartBracket, or simply stand it on a desk or shelf. Two pre-installed CR123A batteries last up to 5 years at room temperature, or up to 2.5 years in sub-zero environments. No mains power or cabling is required.

Installation tips

Install indoors at any height, away from direct sunlight, heaters and air-conditioning outlets that would skew readings. In cold rooms or freezers, run a signal strength test first, because insulated panels with metal skins can block radio. If the device has been stored somewhere cold, leave it at room temperature for 8 to 12 hours before installing to avoid condensation on the sensor.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between LifeQuality and LifeQuality Lite?

The LifeQuality Lite measures temperature and humidity. The full LifeQuality model also measures CO₂ levels. Choose the Lite when you only need climate monitoring, for example in server rooms, storerooms or cellars.

Can I use the LifeQuality Lite in a cool room or freezer?

It operates down to −30 °C, so it can monitor cool rooms and freezers. However, commercial refrigeration chambers with shielded panels can block the radio signal, so always test signal strength on site. A ReX range extender placed nearby can help.

Does it send alerts when the temperature is too high or low?

Yes. You set acceptable ranges in the Ajax app, and the device notifies users and changes its LED indication when readings go outside them. Readings can also trigger scenarios to switch relays or other Ajax automation devices.

Do I need an extra subscription or gateway?

No. The LifeQuality Lite connects directly to a compatible Ajax hub and appears in the same Ajax app as the rest of the system. Check the Ajax device compatibility tool to confirm your hub and firmware.

How long do the batteries last?

Up to 5 years at room temperature, or up to 2.5 years when operating below 0 °C. It uses two standard CR123A lithium batteries.
