Gigabit Ethernet Extender

Gigabit Ethernet over any 2-wire cable, up to 1,000m. The Data-2Wire-PRO kit (Transmitter + Receiver) carries Ethernet over existing coax, Cat5, telephone cable, alarm cable or other single-pair copper. No new data cable is needed. It supports point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links.

The RJ45 ports run at 100/1000Mbps full duplex. Real throughput depends on the 2-wire run, so check the table below.

Important Installation Notes

• Data only, no PoE. PoE cameras or devices need their own local power. For PoE over 2-wire, see the PoE-2Wire-PRO.
• Both units need power: a 12–24VDC adaptor at the Transmitter and the Receiver
• The Receiver goes at the network/switch end and the Transmitter at the IP device end
• Pairing codes on both labels must match
• Don't mix cable types on one run (e.g. 2-wire joined to coax)
• Power up the IP device before connecting it to the Transmitter
